The most beautiful rice field routes in Hoi An

1. Route: Tran Nhan Tong → Ba Le Market → An My → Cam Thanh

This is a classic "green" route, passing through Ba Le Market, turning left onto Tra Que – An My, where the long stretches of rice fields begin. The route is very easy to travel, perfect for both bicycles and motorcycles.

The rice fields here are located right next to the road and are unobstructed by buildings, making it ideal for leisurely cycling or walking while enjoying the view. During the young rice season, the fields are lush and green, and by May–June, everything is covered in a golden hue.

Recommended Stop: Roving Chillhouse – A local favorite with a great rice field view, perfect for enjoying coffee while listening to indie music and watching the fields change under the sunset. It’s a unique experience only found in Hoi An.

2. Route: Hai Ba Trung → Tra Que → Lac Long Quan (Towards An Bang Beach)

This route connects Tra Que Herb Village with rice fields, ideal for a bike ride at dawn. Along the way, you’ll pass rice fields interspersed with herb gardens, with small concrete paths, coconut palms on one side, and fish ponds or harvested rice fields on the other.

Tip: If you start around 5:30 AM, you might catch sight of locals tending to the crops or watering the plants – the cool and quiet atmosphere is perfect for experiencing the authentic side of Hoi An.

Recommended Stop: Miss HA Coffee – Located right in the center of the rice field, a white building amidst the lush fields is easily recognizable. You can go up to the second floor and take panoramic photos of the green rice fields during the young rice season.

3. Route: Ancient Town → Cam Kim Bridge → Kim Bong Woodworking Village → Tu Rice Field

After crossing Cam Kim Bridge, you will see rice fields along the riverbank. Especially, the road along Kim Bong Woodworking Village leads to Tu Rice Field, which has a very “raw” beauty – unpartitioned rice fields, small stone paths, and buffaloes strolling by.

Interesting Fact: This is where you can catch locals plowing the fields, planting rice, and harvesting water hyacinth – a lesser-known agricultural Hoi An experience.

Recommended Stop: On the way to the Cam Kim Dam, there are a few makeshift resting huts, not shops, but ideal spots to sit and enjoy the breeze.
